The Parish Council is seeking support for an initiative to improve access and facilities at Stage Field, a public open space owned by the council. Although well served by a public footpath, access by car is very hazardous. The Parish Council has planning permission for a new access point and a small parking area, but we need resident support to enable us to access grants which will enable the project to be completed.
Parish Council gives notice that a casual vacancy has occurred for a parish councillor due to the resignation of Councillor Ian Peacock.
A further two vacancies are also open for co-option.
Due to the inclement weather, the Parish Council meeting which was due to take place on the 27th February in the village hall has been postponed. A revised date is expected to be announced shortly.
Parish Council donates £100 to the Community Shop to remove a dangerous tree
Following a resolution carried at the Council's November 2017 meeting, the Parish Council has donated £50 to the Royal British Legion for the Poppy appeal.
Parish Council pass several motions expressing concern at the library services provided by East Sussex Libraries, and in particular the planned closure of the Mobile Library that visits Hurst Green.
Station Road will be closed on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th of December due to resurfacing.
