Hurst Green Parish Council

Open spaces and footpaths

The Parish Council maintains a number of open spaces for the benefit of residents.

Drewetts Field

Information is currently being prepared.

Stage Field

The Stage Field was donated by Lieutenant Colonel T B Hornblower and conveyed to Battle Rural District Council in December 1948 to hold as an open space. It is leased to Hurst Green Parish Council. The area has an exciting history and we plan to add more information on this in the coming months.

Public footpath 27 runs along the western side boundary of the field.

Lodge Field

Information is currently being prepared.

Footpaths are the responsibility of Landowners and of East Sussex County Council, but the parish contributes to clearing operations. If you would like to get involved or simply find out more you can contact the Clerk. If you find a problem with a path please report it to the Clerk. Please give details of the location of the path or, better still, use the official path number - copies of the Definitive Footpath maps for the area are held at the Council Office and can be inspected there. Or visit the ESCC website and view the online map.

For information on the current Footpath Warden(s) and the Councillor(s) responsible for Footpaths, please see current list of Councillors.
